  Owner & Founder

  My name is Shannon and I’ve lived in the Columbus area for more than 12 years. My husband Steve and I married in 2007 and have always shared a deep love for animals. We have three furry babies of our own: Brody a six year old Saint Bernard, Brutus an eleven year old Husky/German Shepherd Mix and Brylee a three year old Saint Bernard/Newfoundland Mix. When Steve and I learned that we could not have children, our dogs became our kids and we live to spoil them each and every day. After working in the advertising industry for over 15 years, I decided it was time to leave commutes, co-workers, and cubicles behind and pursue my passion for four-legged creatures instead. In October of 2015, I took the plunge by starting Furball Fitness and have not looked back! Fulfilling my dream of running a business dedicated to animals has been more rewarding than I could have imagined.

  Rachel

  Sitter

  Rachel, not only loves cats and dogs but reptiles too! She keeps many species of lizards, including chameleons--her favorite animal. She recently took in a rescue with metabolic bone disease, and he is getting stronger every day. Rachel also wants to further her education and is planning on attending graduate school next fall, where she hopes to do research on the behavioral ecology of chameleons.

  Mary has two previously feral cats who she rehabilitated. Mac is four and came to live with her at six months, after many months of slow and steady time together on her screened in porch. Sully is three and Mac's half brother. Sully was found abandoned by his mother at three weeks. Sully is deaf. He's learned to walk on a leash and enjoys riding in the car. They can often be found exploring Blendon Woods! Although the process of rehabilitation was time-consuming Mary says the effort was well worth it and enjoys sharing her life with these two characters.

  Lisa is a pet parent of two adorable labradoodles named Holly and Kendall. She has been an animal lover her whole life. She is a huge fan of fitness and the health of her dogs. She jogs with them every morning, when time allows it, to make sure they are getting the proper exercise to help keep Holly and Kendall healthy, agile and limber. Proper exercising also helps reduce digestive and constipation. Not only is Lisa keeping healthy herself, she takes the health of her fur babies very seriously as well.
